Brake module
Signal drive with integrated circuit for controlled stopping of digital locomotives with high-performance drives. Connections for a two-aspect light signal, for the three track sections required to safely stop the locomotive. The brake module is switched either via a decoder k 83 or via a conventional control panel 7272/72720. Dimensions 100 x 54 x 22 mm. The brake module requires 3 isolated route sections in the signal area. The first part is a transition area that corresponds to the length of a ski grinder (approx. 70-90 mm). The second section is the actual braking area, in which the locomotive stops in a controlled manner. The length of the braking distance is determined by the braking delay setting on the locomotive decoder. This second area should be at least 40-50 cm. The third section is a safety section in which the driving voltage is switched off in signal sections, as before. This prevents the locomotive from accidentally slipping beyond the signal area. The brake module is suitable for light and shape signals. Locomotives with built-in unregulated digital or delta electronics sometimes stop in the braking section or only in the safety section. A clear specification is not possible. Therefore, the use of the 72442 brake module together with uncontrolled drives is less recommended.
All connections with new plug connections. Function corresponds to the brake module 72441.
