Steam locomotive BR 78 DB
Epoch III

In shuttle service
Designed in 1911 to speed up passenger train service on the island of Rügen, the T 18 (later the 78 series) was created. One of the most successful German tank locomotives in its symmetrical design with three coupled wheel sets, two bogies, large storage containers and a maximum speed of 100 km/h in both directions. Implemented in an impressively highly detailed model of what is probably the most successful locomotive series that ever ran over Germany's rails.
