The model was delivered from 1919. It produced 1,023 kW (1,390 hp), weighed 120.4 tons and reached a top speed of 65 km/h. A total of 850 copies were built. They usually transported freight trains. These locomotives were in use at the Deutsche Reichsbahn until the early 1970s. With the renumbering plan from 1970, they received EDVA numbers.

The locomotives retained their company numbers, to which only the control number was added.
